Icosahedrophilia Podcast, Episode 28: A Rite Most Foul, Part 1
As our Icosahedrophilia marathon continues, you, dear listener, have the privilege of proceeding directly into our next adventure, “A Rite Most Foul”! The players, though, had to wait two weeks to find out what would happen next, as we played through “A Rite Most Foul” on November 29, 2008. Please listen to episode 28 now or subscribe via iTunes. This episode features the following segments:
- The Staging Area: I remind listeners of how “Feed the Dead” ended, and talk just a tiny bit about my preparation for “A Rite Most Foul.”
- The Weather Report: The PCs learn that the citizens of Perbendarahaan are relative newcomers to the island … and the indigenous population is none to happy about their presence.
- The Prop Shop: I describe the recording equipment and software that I used during the early months of the Stormhaven campaign, including the CAD U7 USB Desktop Condenser Recording Mic, WireTap Studio, and GarageBand. I give a shout-out to folks attending Gateway 2009, and plug the upcoming Worldwide D&D Game Day.

For a quick patch-up like you described, this is sounding like a very smooth and natural way to take the adventure and fit in with the last “series”. The only thing that seemed a little odd at first was contrasting the Elder Gods theme with how normal and happy the townspeople had seemed, but actually for this kind of horrorish campaign that just makes it creepier.
